He was born in Mazıdağı in 1947. After graduated from Istanbul First Teacher School as a student of Hamdi Dicle and Selahattin Hüsnü Taran, he finished Istanbul Atatürk Institute of Education, Paint Department (now changed to Marmara University Faculty of Education) at the workshops of Prof. Ramiz Aydın, Prof Tevfik Karakaya, Prof. İsmail Avcı ve Prof. Süleyman Saim Tekcan.
